 Skiloop was invented by Paul Toleman, a UK Optometrist, after spending several family skiing holidays struggling to carry numerous pairs of skis, balancing them on both shoulders and then having to bend down to pick up a child's glove or pole! Skis are heavy and after several trials he decided that he could use their weight to help keep them vertically suspended from his shoulder using one single point of attachment and a simple adjustable shoulder strap.
The loop for the point of attachment is manufactured from nylon coated steel cable - durable but also lightweight and 'springy' enough to fold into a pocket and spring back ready to use. After trials in the French Alps, the company Skiloop Ltd was founded in 2002 and since then over 20,000 have been sold world wide with no returns.
